Brent Lillibridge

Raised in Everett, WA, Brent Lillibridge’s baseball journey started right here in the Pacific Northwest and carried him all the way to Major League Baseball. A standout at the University of Washington, Brent earned PAC-10 First Team honors all three seasons and represented Team USA as a Silver Medalist in the Pan Am Games.
He was selected in the 4th Round of the MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he became the organization’s Player of the Year before being traded to the Atlanta Braves. Over the course of 9 years in professional baseball and 6 seasons in Major League Baseball, Brent played for the:
- Atlanta Braves
- Chicago White Sox
- Boston Red Sox
- Cleveland Guardians
- Chicago Cubs
- New York Yankees
Competing at the highest level gave Brent firsthand knowledge of what it truly takes to succeed — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.

After retiring, Brent returned home and partnered with BASE by Pros to build something bigger than baseball lessons. His passion is developing players holistically — focusing on confidence, work ethic, character, and resilience just as much as mechanics.
He understands:

- How to build confidence that translates from practice to games

Steven Souza Jr.
Co-Founder | Professional Hitting & Player Development Coach
Raised in Everett, WA, Steven Souza Jr.’s journey through baseball is a testament to perseverance, growth, and elite-level performance. After playing collegiately at Everett Community College, Steven was selected in the 3rd Round of the MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals, launching a professional career that would span nearly a decade.
Steven made his Major League debut in 2014 and went on to play 7 seasons in the MLB, suiting up for the:
- Washington Nationals
- Tampa Bay Rays
- Arizona Diamondbacks
- Chicago Cubs
- Los Angeles Dodgers
He also spent time in the Seattle Mariners organization, bringing his career full circle back to the Pacific Northwest.
Known for his power, athleticism, and competitive edge, Steven competed at the highest level while navigating the realities of professional baseball. His journey gives him a unique and honest perspective on what it truly takes to succeed, on and off the field.

Today, Steven serves as the Major League Hitting Coach for the San Diego Padres, working daily with some of the best players in the world. He brings that same level of insight, preparation, and professionalism into his work with developing athletes.
Through BASE By Pros, he is committed to helping athletes grow not only their skills, but their mindset, identity, and confidence.
He teaches athletes:

- How to handle failure, adversity, and pressure without losing confidence

Aaron West
Co-Founder | Pitching Development & Youth Mentor
Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Aaron West developed into a standout pitcher at the University of Washington, where he served as the Huskies’ No. 1 starter and led the team in key pitching categories. He was later selected in the MLB Draft by the Houston Astros, going on to pitch professionally and earn All-Star recognition during his Minor League career.
His journey through the game — built on consistency, resilience, and competitiveness — now fuels the way he develops and mentors young athletes.

Aaron is deeply involved in youth sports, dedicating his time to coaching and mentoring the next generation. He is a strong advocate for helping athletes fall in love with the game early, believing that passion is the foundation for long-term growth and success.
He is passionate about pouring into The NW Show and helping build a platform centered around intentional development at every level — where athletes are guided with purpose, challenged to grow, and supported both on and off the field.
He teaches athletes:
- How to love the game and enjoy the process
- The value of hard work, discipline, and showing up every day
- How to build confidence through preparation and repetition
- The importance of competing with energy and being a great teammate

Hannah Shimek
Program Operations
Hannah Shimek is a dedicated leader in the softball community, known for her passion for developing the next generation of athletes both on and off the field. As part of The NW Show, she serves in a Program Operations role while also mentoring young women, helping them grow in confidence, character, and skill. With a strong belief in the importance of mental development alongside athletic performance, Hannah is committed to creating an environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Kylee Studioso
Lead Performance Instructor (Hitting & Pitching)
Kylee Studioso brings an elite-level playing career and a passion for developing the next generation of athletes to everything she does. A standout collegiate player at the University of Central Arkansas, Kylee was a dominant two-way athlete, earning All-Region honors, All-American recognition, and being named Tournament MVP while helping lead her team to a conference championship.
Her success extended far beyond the college game. Kylee has competed internationally, played professionally in Italy, and represented Team USA multiple times—experiences that shaped her deep understanding of the game at its highest levels.
